The story

I share the knowledge, the struggles and the successes from the lab — in the hope they help someone else on their way to wherever they're going.

I've worked in infrastructure since 2008, in both the private and public sectors, with all manner of technologies along the way. These days that mostly means VMware Cloud Foundation — designing it, deploying it, automating it with PowerShell and Terraform, and working out why it did that.

I'm also a keen home labber, always looking for new and interesting ways to solve problems and try out new features before they go anywhere near production. This site is where those notes end up. I've presented at VMware Explore and was part of the winning team at the 2024 Las Vegas hackathon.
